WHAT IS GENNEXT?
GenNext is people in their 20s and 30s who want to make a difference.
It’s people who take pride in their city.
It’s people who support United Way.
GenNext is YOU.

Scotiabank GenNext: Working hard in the Community.
GenNext was established at United Way in 2003 with a mandate to encourage Torontonians in their 20s and 30s to become involved with United Way Toronto through volunteering. The group is committed to raising awareness and supporting the work of United Way and its partners by developing and participating in volunteer and fundraising events.

In 2008, Scotiabank established a GenNext cabinet of its own to enhance their annual United Way corporate campaign. The Scotiabank GenNext Cabinet is comprised of 23 motivated and dedicated young professionals representing each of the major divisions of the Bank, who promote awareness and involvement through events and volunteer activities for the fresh crop of Scotiabank employees.

Now in it's third official year, Scotiabank GenNext provides some of the most sought-after events of the Corporate Campaign, starting in the summer and running through the winter. These include two full weeks of agency visits and volunteerism and our trademark "philanthroparty" known as Agents of Change.

Scotiabank GenNext also works closely with United Way to help other organizations get their own GenNext Cabinets up and running. Through the sharing of best practices, institutions such as Royal Bank, McKinsey & Company, and Toronto Police have been able to enhance their corporate campaigns with a GenNext presence.

With each initiative that Scotiabank GenNext takes on, the committment remains:
To inspire the next generation of leaders and give hope to our communities.
